This focusing sensor is geared to obtain higher-precision
focusing for lenses with a maximum aperture value as low
as f/2.8. A diagonal cross pattern makes it easier to focus
on the subjects that may be diffi cult to focus. It is provided
at the center AF point.

can detect vertical lines. They cover all 45 AF points.
