Features Assembly WHAT IS A DEHUMIDIFIER? BEFORE FIRST USE Your Breville dehumidifier is designed to reduce and maintain the level of humidity in the air as well as to prevent condensation and mildew on the ceilings and walls. 1. Before using your dehumidifier for the first time, remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels attached to your air dehumidifier and air filter. 2. Check for any missing or damaged parts as per the components list. 3.
Functions USING YOUR BREVILLE DEHUMIDIFIER 1. To operate the dehumidifier, press the POWER button. 2. The icon for the last mode used will illuminate on the control panel. Another mode can be selected if desired. 3. If in Auto mode, adjust the humidity level if desired (see Humidity Setting). 4. The dehumidifier will start to operate within 5 seconds. 5. Press the POWER button again to turn off. NOTE The dehumidifier cannot operate if the water tank is full or is not installed correctly.
NIGHT MODE The Night mode will automatically turn off all lights on the control panel (except the Night button light) and operate in the last setting. 1. Press the NIGHT button on the control panel. 2. Within 5 seconds, the lights on the control panel will turn off, except the NIGHT button. 3. Press once to view current humidity level. 4. Press the NIGHT button twice to exit Night mode. TIMER The Timer operates in two ways.
1. Locate the continuous drainage outlet on the back, right hand side of the dehumidifier, underneath the air inlet grille. Remove the plug and insert one end of the hose over the connection outlet, pushing in as far as possible. Pull out the plug 2. As the drainage is dependent on gravity for the dehumidifier to drain correctly, no part of the hose should sit higher than the hose connection outlet. 3.
5. Locate and remove the blue pump outlet clip from the drainage outlet on the opposite side of the dehumidifier, and set aside for later use. Insert one end of the 8m pump drainage hose into the pump drainage outlet, ensuring the hose is pushed in as far as possible. Remove the blue pump outlet clip NOTE Keep the blue outlet pump clip in a safe place for future use if the pump drainage is no longer required. NOTE 9. Remove the drainage hose from the rear of the unit. 10.
Care, Cleaning & Storage WARNING Before cleaning or maintenance of the dehumidifier, ensure the power is switched off at the outlet, and the plug is removed. CLEANING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER 1. Keep the unit upright when cleaning. 2. Wipe the dehumidifier housing, control panel, air inlet and outlet grilles with a soft, dry cloth. 3. To remove dirt that has built-up heavily, wipe with a slightly damp cloth only.
WARNING Water in the water tank is not suitable for drinking. Do not drink this water, and do not serve to animals or use to water plants. FILTER CLEANING AND REPLACEMENT The air inlet grille at the back of the dehumidifier also acts as the filter holder. The filter holder includes a mesh pre-filter to capture dust and pet dander, and a black carbon filter to help reduce odours and smoke. WARNING 1.
AIR FILTER CLEANING The air filter sits within a cavity at the back of the dehumidifier and is held in place by the air inlet grille. 4. Place the new filter into the dehumidifier, then replace the air inlet grille back onto the dehumidifier to hold in place before operating. NOTE NOTE A dirty filter may reduce the performance of the dehumidifier. Clean regularly. 1. Remove the air inlet grille to access the air filter.
