OPERATION
Low-Power Modes
Some countries’ energy regulations require products like the VB1 to enter a low-power
mode when not in use to save energy. You can disable (or re-enable) this feature
in the VB1 by using the Bose Work Configuration app or WebUI or the Bose Work
Management app (see Software Applications (Page 23)).
The low-power mode of the VB1 is actually two stages: a standby mode and a low-
power standby mode.
If the low-power mode is enabled, the VB1 will enter the standby mode after 18
minutes of inactivity. After 2 more hours of inactivity, it will enter the low-power
standby mode. In both modes, the light bar on the front of the VB1 will be o.
If the low-power mode is disabled, both of these modes are also disabled.
Certain actions or commands can prevent the VB1 from entering its standby mode,
“wake” the VB1 from its standby mode (returning it to normal operation), or “wake”
the VB1 from its low-power standby mode (returning it to normal operation).
