• Caution should be used for patients with suspected or diagnosed epilepsy.
• Caution should be used when treating in the presence of the following:
• Patients with a tendency to hemorrhage following acute trauma or fracture;
• Areas of the skin that lack normal sensation.
• Some patients may experience skin irritation or hypersensitivity due to the electrical
stimulation or adhesive gel used with the Pain Relief Pads (electrical conductive
medium). The irritation can usually be reduced by using a different Pain Relief Pad
placement.
• Pain Relief Pad placement and stimulation settings should be based on the
recommendations in this User’s Manual
• Avoid use of Pain Relief Pads, conductive gels, leadwires, or accessories other than
those supplied with the system or recommended by BioWave. The safety of other
products has not been established and their use may result in skin irritations and
burns beneath the Pain Relief Pads.
3.5 Adverse Reactions
• Skin irritation, redness and Pain Relief Pad burns are possible adverse reactions.
