4. Putting into operation
Before putting the appliance into
operation, make sure that …….
-the appliance and the attachments
are in perfect condition
-all packaging material has been
removed.
Clean the attachments as described in
7.
5. Putting on/taking off attachments
Caution: After use, parts of the
appliance may be hot!
Putting on the attachment…
push the attachment onto the
contact point until you hear it click
into place
Taking off the attachment...
• first of all, switch off the appliance
• allow it to cool down
press the release button.
The attachment can now be taken off.
6. Switching on/off / selecting a
level
When you have fixed the attachment
and put the plug into the wall socket…
you can switch the appliance on via
the switch and select a level:
“1” for low fan speed
“2” for high fan speed
“C” for cold air (=cool).
By means of the “Turbo” switch,
you can switch the appliance to
maximum fan speed for a short
time.
You can switch off the appliance,
by turning the switch to…
“0” (=appliance off)
7. Cleaning and care
Never open the case of the
appliance. There are no control
elements inside. When the case is
open, there is a danger of fatal injury
due to the risk of an electric shock.
Before cleaning the appliance…
• remove the plug from the wall
socket
• and allow the appliance to cool
down completely
• The parts of the appliance must
never be immersed in water or
other fluids under any circum-
stances. There may be a danger of
fatal injury due to the risk of an
electric shock if residual fluid
comes into contact with live parts
when used next time.
•Clean the appliance parts with a
dry or slightly damp cloth – and dry
all parts afterwards
• Do not use cleaning agents or
solvents. They can damage the
plastic surfaces.
8. Storage
Allow the appliance to cool down
completely before putting it into the
nylon storage bag. Always store it in
this bag to protect it from dust. Store
the appliance in a dry place.
9. Disposal
At the point in time of these
instructions being issued (July 2003),
no particular disposal regulations are
known of. You can however help to
protect children playing with the
appliance from potential danger by
cutting off the plug before disposal.
A few tips for the
perfect hair style
Do not style your hair until it is
almost dry.
Divide your hair into several strands
to gain more volume.
Your hair will appear to have more
volume if you dry it from root to tip.
After switching the appliance off, wait
a few seconds before uncurling
Allow your hair to cool down before
combing.
