LDAP configuration with Apache Page 4 Avaya, Inc.
Introduction
This document describes the installation and configuration of the Avaya™ 4600 Series IP
Telephone LDAP Directory Application specifically when using Apache as a web server.
The LDAP Directory Application and documentation can be downloaded from the Avaya
Support Center web site at

Installation
In addition to the LDAP application, the required PHP components for Microsoft
Windows can be found at http://www.php.net/:
¾ Please download the latest stable zipped binary version of PHP from the PHP web
site.
¾ As of the date of this document, PHP 4.3.6 or higher is the most stable version of
PHP with Apache 2.0.47.
¾ PHP 4.3.2 had several bugs and is not recommended for the installation.
¾ Extract the zip package to a folder called “
php” (or your desired folder) and follow
the instructions from the “install.txt” file that is included with the PHP
package.
Follow the instructions described in the “
install.txt” file and Appendix D of the LAN
Administrator’s Guide. If you are successful in installing and administering the LDAP
application, then congratulations, you are done! If you encounter problems, then read on.
