Chapter 3: Web-based User Interface
3.7.3 KVM Mouse Setting
This page allows you to set the mouse mode. The Redirection Console handles mouse
emulation from local window to remote screen using either of the three methods. Only the
Administrator has the permissions to configure this option.
To use the keyboard and mouse function for KVM remote control, ensure the
USB header
is
connected to the USB 2.0 connector on the motherboard.
Relative Positioning (Linux)
Calculated relative mouse position displacement is sent
to the server.
Absolute Positioning
(Windows)
Absolute position of the local mouse is sent to the
server. This option is recommended for Windows or
later versions on Linux.
Other Mode (SLES-11 OS
Installation)
Calculated displacement from the local mouse in the
center position is sent to the server.
3.7.4 Log Settings
This page allows you to set the log policy for the event log and also configure advanced log
settings.
SEL Log Settings Policy
This page is used to configure the log policy for the event log.
Linear Storage Policy
Set the SEL Log Setting Policy as a Linear Storage
Policy.
Circular Storage Policy
Set the SEL Log Setting Policy as a Circular Storage
Policy.
