Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology
Allows you to enable or disable a VMM to utilize the additional hardware capacities provided
by Vanderpool Technology. Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
Active Processor Cores
Allows you to select the number of CPU cores to activate in each processor package.
Conguration options: [All] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Hyper-Threading
The Intel Hyper-Threading Technology allows a hyper-threading processor to appear as
two logical processors, allowing the operating system to schedule two threads or processes
simultaneously. Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
[Disabled] Only one thread per activated core is enabled.
[Enabled] Two threads per activated core are enabled.
CPU - Power Management Control
Allows you to congure the Power Management Control options.
Intel(R) SpeedStep(tm)
The Intel
®
SpeedStep
TM
Technology allows your system to support more than two
frequency ranges. Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
Intel(R) Speed Shift Technology
Allows you to enable or disable the Intel
®
Speed Shift Technology support. When this
item is set to [Enabled], CPPC v2 interface allows hardware controlled P-states.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
The following item appears when you set Intel(R) SpeedStep(tm) to [Auto] or [Enabled].
Turbo Mode
Allows you to enable or disable processor Turbo Mode. This requires EMTTM to
be enabled as well. Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
CPU C-States
Allows you to enable or disable CPU Power Management. Allows CPU to go to C
states when it’s not fully utilized. Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
The following items appear only when you set CPU C-States to [Enabled].
Thermal Monitor
Allows you to enable or disable Thermal Monitor.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
Dual Tau Boost
Allows you to enable or disable Dual Tau Boost feature. This is only applicable for
Desktop 35/65/125W sku. When DPTF is enabled, this feature will be ignored.
