PIO Mode [Auto]

DMA Mode [Auto]

Selects the DMA mode. Conguration options: [Auto]

SMART Monitoring [Aut o]

Sets the Smart Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology.

Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]

32Bit Data Transfer [Enabled]

Enables or disables 32-bit data transfer. Conguration options: [Disabled]

[Enabled]

ATA/IDE Conguration [Enhanced]

Allows selection of the IDE operation mode depending on the installed Operating

System (OS). Set to [Enhanced] if you are using native OS, such as Windows

2000 / XP. Set to [Compatible] if you are using legacy OS, e.g. Windows ME / 98 /

NT, MS-DOS. Conguration options: [Disabled] [Compatible] [Enhanced]

The items Congure SATA as and Third, Fourth IDE Master / Slave options

appear only when you set the ATA / IDE Conguration to [Enhanced].

4.3.5 IDE Conguration

The items in this menu allow you to set or change the congurations for the IDE

devices installed in the system. Select an item then press <Enter> if you wish to

congure the item.
