Custom Design Process

Where do I begin?
Work with your local Menards store to ll out the custom home design quesonnaire form. This form must be
submied with your order. Our team will help you ll out the form and get the order placed.
Please also submit any photos, internet links, pinterest links, etc. to further assist us in knowing what you are
looking for in a home design.
An architecural designer will be in contact with you once the order is received along with the quesonnaire
form to review and go over details.
What is the design process?
Preliminary Phase: With your ideas and goals in mind, our designers will produce sketches of oor plans and
elevaons that meet your criteria. You’ll have an opportunity to review the designs (max 3 reviews) and we’ll
adjust the drawings as necessary. Once you approve of the preliminary plans, we’ll move on to the Design
Phase.
Design Phase: During this phase, the major components of the design are in place and we move forward with
adding details as we develop the plans inside and out. We’ll connue to incorporate your feedback as we work
to draw your plans into our soware. We’ll provide you with rough-dras of the oor plans, electrical plans,
and grey scale images, to help you understand your home design taking shape and to see where we are in the
process. Only minimal changes may be made during this phase, and anything that substanally changes the
scope or concept of the design from the preliminary phase may be considered overages. But don’t worry - we’ll
let you know if something you ask for starts to get to that point. Most importantly we want to ensure you’re
completely sased with the design!
