NOTE: Do not mount the Spider to uneven surfaces. This could
distort or possibly break the housing when tightening the fasteners. In
addition, when mounting the unit to the wall of an outdoor enclosure,
use standoffs to prevent the Spider from absorbing excessive heat
from the enclosure (particularly if the enclosure is located in direct
sunlight).
For outdoor installations and/or environments in which the Spider
requires special protection, first mount the unit inside a suitable
weatherproof enclosure (recommended maximum security rating of
IP67) and then fit the enclosure with cable glands of a comparable
rating for the power, antenna, and I/O cabling.
For either method (mounted on a wall indoors or in an enclosure
outdoors), make sure that sufficient clearance exists for connecting
and disconnecting inputs. Allow 2 inches on each side between the
edge of the unit and the enclosure.
