The Wasp WLR8950 PS2 bi-color CCD barcode scanner is yellow and black in color, comes with a PS/2 cable, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) colored barcodes. This handheld barcode reader contains CCD (charge-coupled device) light sensors that can scan barcodes from up to 12" away and at a speed of up to 450 scans per second in continuous mode. Bi-colored LEDs enable the scanner to decode red barcodes using green light and green barcodes using red light. The barcode scanner can read barcodes with a print contrast ratio as low as 30 percent. The PS/2 cable can be used to connect the barcode reader to a keyboard and a computer or a host system (each sold separately) and transmit barcode data as if it had been typed.
