The fan gently and silently moves air from around the stove to distribute the heat into your room, rather than simply rising to the ceiling as it leaves the fireplace. That means you stay toasty and use less fuel. Since the fan is self-powered using heat from the stove to operate, it does not require batteries or mains power. When the stove top reaches approximately 100°C the fan will begin to operate, slowing down and coming to a stop when your stove fire burns out.
