The October Magic Ruby Camellia is a phenomenal camellia from the Southern Living Plant Collection. This variety features fully double, Christmas red blooms. These flowers appear in huge numbers every fall, creating quite a late season display. The foliage is dark green and evergreen. Its leaves are serrated on the edge, glossy and leathery. This camellia is often compared to the Shi Gashira Camellia, due to its low-growing nature. At maturity, it reaches only 3 ft. - 4 ft. H and 4 ft. - 5 ft. W. Therefore, it's an ideal choice for a low-maintenance hedge or border. The October Magic Ruby Camellia is hardy from USDA Zones 7-9.
