Microtek ScanMaker V6UPL Flatbed Scanner (PC/Mac)

The Microtek ScanMaker V6UPL provides a legal-size scan bed (8.5 by 14 inches) that produces crisp detail and brilliant color capability. This compact workhorse weighs in at about 10 pounds, and it's sturdy, easy to use, and features a clean one-button design. The ScanMaker offers 600 x 1,200 dpi, 36-bit color depth, a fast prescan, and a maximum interpolated resolution of 9,600 dpi. Bundled with a powerful software package, it's designed to meet both home and office needs. Like most scanners, the V6UPL's software was easy to install. From the start of setup, we especially liked the zip-lock bags handily labeled either EPP or USB, and the separate installation and reference guides for both Windows and Mac. (You can connect via either a USB or SCSI port on PC or Macintosh.) We highly recommend following the enclosed and very logical reference guide for the fastest, most trouble-free installation.
