Maxim Battery Charging IC 4.5...5.5 V DIL-16

Charges NiCd and NiMH cells from a DC source with a voltage 1 V lower than the maximum battery voltage. From 1 to 16 cells can be charges at a rate of op to 4C. The voltage vs. time behaviour and temperature determine when charging stops. MAX 712 stops charging when the voltage no longer changes (zero slope). MAX 713 stops charging when the voltage starts to decrease (negative slope).
