Alpine treats the pulp cone with Kevlar so it won't buckle or distort under heavy use, while the tough rubber HAMRS surround allows for maximum excursion while keeping the cone under control for more accurate bass. Extra venting maximizes air flow through your speaker, dissipating heat and increasing the sub's reliability. The heavy-gauge, stamped steel cage holds its shape through the most relentless pounding, so the bass stays tight.
