The bright sun out on the water does more than give you a great tan — it also makes conventional IR remotes impractical, since the light interferes with the IR remote eye. Alpine solves that problem with the RUE-M1RF RF remote system. Plug the included RF receiver module into the steering wheel controls jack of your compatible Alpine receiver, then use the RF remote to control the receiver from up to 100 feet away. Don't worry about losing your remote when you hit choppy seas. The remote comes with a mounting cup, and you can string it onto a lanyard using the built-in tabs. Best of all, it floats if you do accidentally drop it in the drink. If you're unlucky, or want spares on hand, extra remotes are available.
