to paint surfaces.

Recommended Uses Use on interior and exterior surfaces for maximum adhesion over: building material plastics
including PVC sheeting & piping, vinyl, laminated Formica
®
cabinets, fiberglass awnings and garage doors, tile, glazed
block and brick, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum doors and window frames, aluminum flashing and trim, galvanized
steel, glossy oil-base/enamel paints, drywall, masonry, glass, paneling, painted or unpainted wood, and mildly chalky
surfaces. For Kynar applications, use ZINSSER Cover Stain
®
Advanced Formula Water-Base Primer; see technical
sheet for details. Topcoat with any topcoat, including: oil-base, water-base, urethane, epoxy and lacquer topcoats
Surface Preparation - Surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free of any contamination, mildew, scaling paint, loose
rust, heavy chalking, excessive oil and other contaminants such as wax or wallpaper paste which will interfere with
adhesion. If unsure, always wash surface with appropriate cleaner or solvent (do not use TSP). Always test a small area
for acceptable adhesion. For general oil and water-base stain-blocking, use a ZINSSER stain blocking primer such as
ZINSSER Smart Prime or ZINSSER Bulls Eye 1-2-3
®
Plus. Spot prime knots and severe stains with ZINSSER
B-I-N
®
Shellac-Base Primer-Sealer before full surface priming with BONDZ.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN

Application Conditions Apply between 36°F and 90°F (2°C and 32°C), RH < 85%.
Application Methods Shake or stir well and apply using synthetic brush, roller or sprayer (follow spray equipment
manufacturers instructions; for airless spraying use .017 tip at 2000 - 2500 P.S.I.)
Tinting Can be tinted with up to 2 oz. (59 ml) of universal colorant per gallon to improve the hiding power of the
topcoat.
Thinning Thinning of this product is not recommended.
