To obtain the best possible surround sound, adjust the speaker parameters (distance, level, etc.). otes Be sure to match the speaker cord to the appropriate terminal on the components: + to + and – to –. If the cords are reversed, the sound will be distorted and lack bass.

Displays theatrical images with masking bars above and below the picture. 4:3 Panscan: Select when a standard 4:3 TV is connected. Displays pictures cropped to fill your TV screen. DVD Movies on DVDs may contain scenes not suitable for children. Therefore, discs may contain Parental Control information that applies to the complete disc or to certain scenes on the disc.
Presetting Radio Stations Listening to the Radio You can preset 30 stations for FM and AM. Before tuning, make sure that you have turned down the volume to the minimum. Preset radio stations in the DVD receiver’s memory first (see “Presetting radio stations” on the left side). 1 Press FUNCTION on the front panel repeatedly or FM/AM on the remote control until FM or AM appear in the display window. 1 Press FM/AM until AM or FM appears in the display window. Operation with DVD Getting to play General Features DVD Switch on the TV and select the AV input source connected to the DVD receiver. When you want to enjoy the sound of discs or from the audio system, turn on the audio system and select the input source connected to the DVD receiver. Programmed Playback CD MP3 Programmed Playback with Audio CD Repeat Programmed Tracks and MP3 Disc Program allows you to store your favorite tracks for a particular disc in the player memory. To repeat the track currently playing, press REPEAT. Program can contain 32 tracks (Audio CD) or 60 tracks (MP3 disc). 1 Insert the disc and close the tray. Additional Information Last Condition Memory DVD CD Notes on MP3 Discs About MP3 This player memorizes the last condition for the last disc you have watched. Settings remain in memory even if you remove the disc from the player or switch off the player. If you load a disc that has its settings memorized, the latest stop position is automatically recalled. otes – Settings are stored in memory for use any time.

Cause Correction • The power cord is disconnected. • Plug the power cord into the wall outlet securely. The power is on, but the DVD receiver does not work. • No disc is inserted. • Insert a disc. (Check that the DVD or, audio CD indicator in the DVD display is lit.) No picture. • The TV is not set to receive DVD signal output.

Cause Correction • The components are connected incorrectly. • Connect the components correctly. • The source is selected incorrectly. • Select the source with FUNCTION button (CD/DVD, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2 or Tuner). • The antenna is positioned or connected poorly. • Connect the antenna securely. • Adjust the antennas and connect an external antenna if necessary. The remote control does not work properly.
