Das TWISTER Boxensystem TW 6 TOP Satellit Diese Box ist mit einem 6" Mitteltonlautsprecher und einem Hochton-Schlitzstrahler bestückt. Sie ist unabhängig vom unteren Satelliten um 360° horizontal schwenkbar. Easy-Connect Rohr, kurz Neben der mechanischen Verbindung dient dieses Verbindungsrohr zur Signalübertragung vom TW 6 TOP M zum TW 6 TOP Satelliten. TW 6 TOP M Satellit Die Lautsprecherbestückung und Schwenkbarkeit ist die gleiche wie beim oberen Satelliten.
Anschlussplatte am Subwoofer -6 dB Schalter für TW 6 TOP M Wenn dieser Schalter gedrückt ist, ist die Lautstärke der TW 6 TOP M Satellitenbox um 6 dB abgesenkt. Eine Absenkung ist sinnvoll, wenn z.B. bei Monitoranwendung Rückkopplungen auftreten. Eingangsbuchse An diese Speakon-Buchse wird die Endstufe oder der Powermischer angeschlossen. Die Pinbelegung ist (von der Innenseite des Steckers aus gesehen): Masse 1- Masse Signal 1+ 2+ 1- Satelliten 2- TWISTER 12.

Aufstellen des Boxensystems Die folgenden Instruktionen beziehen sich auf die Illustrationen A bis C auf Seite 9. Wählen Sie dort die Aufstellvariante aus, die Ihren Anforderungen am ehesten genügt. Die folgenden Instruktionen setzen voraus, dass Sie die Sicherheitshinweise (Seite 4) gelesen haben und die Komponenten des TWISTER Systems identifizieren können (Seite 7). Sie sollten weiterhin mit der Handhabung von Speakon-Steckern vertraut sein (Seite 8). A auf Ständer 1.
C ohne Ständer Für diese Aufstellvariante benötigen Sie zwei TWK 10 SP/KLK und zwei TWK 10 KLK Adapterkabel (als Zubehör erhältlich) 1. Plazieren Sie die Subwoofer und Satelliten an geeigneten Stellen. Beachten Sie dabei, dass Sie die Lautstärke des TW 6 TOP M Satelliten um 6 dB reduzieren können. Nutzen Sie ggf. die abgeschrägten Kanten der Satellitenboxen um sie nach oben zu kippen. 2.
Anschluss von TWISTERMIX Benutzen Sie für die Verbindung zwischen den Boxen und dem PROFILER 14.1000 die dem Systempaket beiliegenden SpeakonLautsprecherkabel. Verbinden Sie das TWISTER Boxensystem über die Speakon-Buchse "IN" auf der Anschlussplatte am Subwoofer mit den Speakon-Ausgängen des PROFILER 14.1000 Powermischers. Ausrichtung der Satelliten Die folgenden Hinweise nur für Hochständerbetrieb der Satelliten. 1. Automatischer Hochtonschutz Die Hochtontreiber des TWISTER Systems sind mit einem zweistufigen elektronischen Überlastschutz ausgestattet, der alle erdenklichen Überlastungsfälle abfangen kann. Kurze Überspannungsimpulse werden vom Peak-Limiter abgeschnitten. Langanhaltende Überlastungen, die die Schwingspule des Hochtontreibers überhitzen können, werden durch ein Halbleitelement limitiert, das bei längerer Überlastung automatisch den Hochtöner zurückregelt.

The TWISTER speaker system TW 6 TOP This satellite cabinet has a 6" midrange speaker and a slot tweeter. It can be independently panned for 360° (and beyond). Easy-Connect tube, short This tube provides mechanical connection and signal transmission between the TW 6 TOP and TW 6 TOP M satellites. TW 6 TOP M This satellite cabinet has a the same speakers as the TW 6 TOP. It can also be independently panned for 360° (and beyond) for monitoring purposes.
Subwoofer connector panel Attenuator switch for TW 6 TOP M Use this button to attenuate the level of the TW6TOPM satellite by 6 dB. Lowering the level of this satellite can be useful when it is used as a monitor. MONITOR - 6dB IN Input connector Use this Speakon input to connect your TWISTER system to an amplifier or power mixer.

Setting up the speaker system The instructions below refer to illustrations A to C on page 19. Choose the setup variation A, B or C according to your requirements. The instructions below require that you have read and understood the safety instructions on page 5 and that you are able to identify the individual components of the TWISTER system (see page 17). You must also be familiar with the use of Speakon connectors (see page 18). A all satellites on tube stands 1.
C without tube stands This setup variation requires two TWK 10 SP/KLK and two TWK 10 KLK adaptor cables (available as an accessory). 1. Place all satellites and subwoofers in suitable positions. Bear in mind that you can attenuate the output of the TW 6 TOP M satellites by 6 dB. If required, use the beveled satellite edges to tilt them upwards to aim at the user. 2. Use the TWK 10 SP/KLK adaptor cables to connect the TW 6 TOP M satellites with their assigned subwoofers.
Connecting the TWISTERMIX system Connect the Speakon output of the PROFILER 14.1000 mixer to the 'IN' Speakon sockets on the subwoofer connector panel using the two Speakon cables that come with the package. Aligning the satellites The following instructions are only applicable if all satellites are operated on tube stands. Tweeter safeguard The satellite cabinets are equipped with an automatic tweeter protection. This electronic circuitry consists of two stages that are designed to protect the tweeters against all sorts of overload situations. Short overvoltage peaks are absorbed by a peak limiter before they can reach the tweeter driver. Prolonged overloads which would be able to overheat the tweeter voice coil are limited by a PTC thermistor.
