• If using a 100 mm plinth, fit the complete height compensation strip. OPERATION Before using Alignment height of 870 mm • • • Remove all securing tapes. Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). If using a 190 to 220 mm plinth, make a cut-out as shown on the previous page. Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.

Alarm reset button When to use the “Fast Freeze” function: In the event of an abnormal temperature rise inside the freezer (e.g. power cut) warning light (F) will start to flash and a buzzer will sound. After the temperature has returned to normal, the warning light (F) will continue to flash, although the buzzer has stopped. When the alarm button (G) is pressed, the warmest temperature reached in the compartment flashes in the display (D).
Adjustment panels (if necessary) Thawing Making ice cubes • Frozen food, prior to being used, can be thawed in the fridge or at room temperature depending on the time available. Small food items may even be cooked from frozen; in this case cooking will take longer. The appliance is provided with one or more trays for ice-cubes. Any frozen food which is allowed to thaw accidentally should either be eaten as soon as possible or thrown away.

Electrical connections The plug moulded onto the lead incorporates a fuse. For replacement, use a 13amp BSI362 fuse. Only ASTA or BSI approved fuses should be used. Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. The plug must not be used if the fuse cover/carrier is lost. The cover/carrier is indicated by the coloured insert at the base of the plug. WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING INSTALLATION Before carrying out any maintenance operations, including those described in this book, unplug the appliance from the mains supply.
