INSTALLATION GB If this appliance featuring magnetic door seals is to replace an older appliance having a spring lock on the door or lid, be sure to make that spring lock unusable before you discard the old appliance. This will prevent it from becoming a death-trap for a child. Important It is essential that the appliance be connected to an efficient earth tap. For this purpose the supply cable plug incorporates a special earth contact. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION GB The technical data is indicated in the rating plate on the left side inside the appliance. Electrical connection Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the serial number plate correspond to your domestic power supply. Voltage can vary by ±6% of the rated voltage. For operation with different voltages, a suitably sized auto-transformer must be used.
USE GB Start-up - Temperature regulation Food refrigeration After plugging in the appliance, turn the thermostat knob, located at the top right of the fridge, clockwise to the required position (beyond position «O» - off). A medium setting is recommended. Temperature is kept constant automatically and can be increased by turning the knob to lower numbers, or reduced by turning it to higher numbers.

To make these adjustments proceed as follows: Gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the arrows until it comes free, then reposition as required (Fig. 56).
Defrosting Fig. 7 Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough (Fig. 7) into a special container on the back of the appliance where it evaporates. Clean periodically the water drain hole (Fig. 7). Use the special cleaner provided, which you will find already inserted into the drain hole.
MAINTENANCE Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation. GB Interior light bulb The light bulb inside the refrigerator compartment can be reached as follows: Periodic cleaning ª unscrew the light cover securing screws; Never use metal objects for cleaning your appliance as it may get damaged. Clean the inside with warm water and bicarbonate of soda. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Periods of non-operation ª unhook the moving part by pressing it as shown in the figure.
