Description of the Appliance Fridge Compartment The correct temperature for safe storage of fresh food inside is 0o C to 5oC (32oF to 41oF) 7 8 1. Freezer Compartment The freezer will store frozen food at -18oC (-4oF) or colder allowing for long term frozen food storage and freezing of fresh food.
Control Panel Cross Flow Indicator Alarm Quick Freeze Key Pad Freezer Temperature Control Indicator Lights HIGH HUMI and ALM Indicator Lights The HIGH HUMI and ALM indicator lights remain on throughout the operation of the appliance. Door Open Alarm An audible alarm will sound when either the fridge or freezer door is open for more than 2 minutes. The alarm will sound for 10 seconds approximately every minute, for 10 minutes.
Fridge Controls Quick Chill (QUICK) When the QUICK key pad is pressed the refrigerator QUICK indicator will illuminate. The temperature in the fridge will be reduced to cool new foodstuffs quickly. Press the Quick Chill key pad again to switch off, if Quick Chill is not cancelled manually it will switch off automatically after 2 ½ hours. Thermostat control The thermostat control regulates the temperature within the fridge compartment.
Using the appliance This appliance is designed for domestic use only,specifically for storage of edible foodstuffs. This apppliance is designed to operate in ambient temperatures (surrounding air temperature) between 10oC (50oF) and 32oC (90oF). If these temperatures are exceeded i.e. colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly. Before Use Remove all securing tapes. Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water with a little bicarbonate of soda added (5ml to 0.5 litre of water).
Freezing Fresh Food Place the food in the bottom basket and press the QUICK freeze key pad. Frozen food should not be refrozen once it has thawed out. Do not remove items from the freezer if your hands are damp/wet as this could cause skin abrasions or frost/freezer burns Any opened packets of frozen food, should be rewrapped in airtight materials to prevent surface evaporation which causes drying or freezer burn.
Hints and Tips Food Storage To obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot foods nor liquids which may evaporate, should be placed in the larder compartment. Avoid buying frozen food if you cannot store it straight away. The use of an insulated container is advisable. When you arrive home place the frozen food in the freezer immediately. Keep the time between buying chilled food and placing it in your fridge as short as possible.
Maintenance and Cleaning Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY supply. External Cleaning Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive products. There may be sharp edges on the underside of the product so care should be taken when cleaning. Ensure the vents at the back of the appliance are clear of dust and debris etc. Internal Cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.
Changing the Freezer light bulb 1. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply. 2. Pul out the middle freezer drawer. 2. Remove the cover by pressing the latch at the bottom of the cover. 3. Remove the bulb by turning it anti-clockwise. 4. Replace the bulb with a new 15W, 240V miniature edison screw (MES) bulb (available from your local Service Force Centre). 5. Replace the cover.
Something Not Working Some problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversights, which can be solved easily without calling out an engineer. If your appliance does not function correctly, please carry out the following checks before contacting your local Service Force Centre. IMPORTANT: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation, a charge will be made, even if the appliance is under guarantee.
