Double oven features The FBI 533/81 B'W consists of two ovens. With the upper one a microwave oven, you can enjoy the speed and convenience of a compact microwave oven. Be sure to carefully read this Use and Cave Manual to learn how to fully use the oven. Micro. poking enables you to cook, re-heat mer, defrost and even hold warm with speed and convenience. Because microwave cooking is cool winking, the cavity and the dishes are easy to clean.

Operating with time & variable power Each recipe in the cookbook gives the approximate cooking time. Start with the shorter time and add then if needed, The cookbook is only a guide, as food temperature and density can vary the time. 1. Open the door (interior light comes on automatically). 2. Place the food item inside the oven. 3. Set the appropriate power setting (Fig. 2) for your food {see cookbook). 4. Set timer (Pig. 3) for desired time by turning clockwise, Fig.2 5.
Microwave Oven cleaning and maintenance Your microwave oven requires a minimum of maintenance. To keep it free from grease and soil build-up, the microwave oven should be cleaned with a damp cloth after each use. A soft nail brush can be used to remove shabbiness stains. Use only a mild detergent, water and a soft, clean cloth to clean the oven fascia and interior surfaces.
Using the oven (Multi function) The multi function oven makes it possible to carry out various types of cooking, depending on the nature of the food, its firmness and volume. All cooking must be done with the oven door closed. The oven and pilot light remain on with all cooking functions. The oven control knee symbols are d together with a brief description of the functions {a more detailed explanation of the functions and how 1o use them are given in the «Art of Cookery» book). Fig.

Fig. 6 Cooling fan The oven is fitted with a cooling fan located between the two cavities. Iris designed to cool the interior of the oven housing and the component parts. Cool air is drawn in through the vents at the bottom of the oven which absorbs the residual heat in the appliance housing.
Electronic programmer Whig programmer allows you to per-set the cooking start time and determine the duration of cooking required, as well as acting as a cooking timer and clock. It also shows the temperature measured by the food probe when cooking automatically. Most foods cook well automatically, but preference should he given to these which will not be affected by the waiting period before the oven comes on. Note This programmer only operates the upper oven cavity for automatic cooking.

Important 1t is possible to set the cooking timer when the oven is on BUT the oven will then operate as if a semiautomatic cooking operation had been programmed, ie. the oven will automatically turn off when the per-set cooking them is over.
Semi-automatic operation of the oven enables you to manually turn on the oven and programmer the duration of rooking time so that the oven switches off automatically. The maximum duration of cooking time is 23 hours 59 minutes. To programmer il proceed as follows: Place the food to be rooked into the oven, then turn the oven control and thermostat control knobs 1o the required settings. Depress button keeping it depressed, turn knob E to the required duration of time, release button A.

If you do not turn the oven controls to their off first, when you press button C{ @ ) the oven will return to manual operation and will remain on until you turn the controls to their off positions.
To do this, depress button and keeping it depressed select the finished internal cooking temperature by turning' knob E release button D ( ). Cursor light 4 will come on to show that the programmer has been accepted. This cursor light and the temperature are shown in red on the display. 5. Select the cocking method by means of the oven control knob and the cooking temperature by means of the thermostat control knob.
Removal/replacement of component parts Prior {0 undertaking any maintenance work, be sure to disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply. Grease filter ‘When roasting meat, be sure to install the special grease filter to protect the fan in the rear wall of the oven from fat splashes. After roasting is completed, remove the grease filer and clean thoroughly with warm soapy water. As it is stainless steel you can safely wash it in the dishwasher.

To do this unscrew the ring nuts securing the side runners and remove them (Fig. 14). Remove the side panels by sliding them towards you and then pulling them away from the oven cavity walls (Fig. 15).
Warning Before removing the back panel the oven must be disconnected and the grill element removed, remember to put the ceramic safety plug into the socket {Fig. 5). To remove the back panel use a screwdriver (Fig. 16). This is a good opportunity to clean the back of the rear panel. Fig.

Unscrew the ring nuts securing the right side shelf supports and then remove the supports. Cleaning the lower oven Glass door The door of your oven should be needless with a soft cloth sealed in warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive scourers or steel wool. Shelves and shelf supports To clean the chrome parts of your oven, soak in warm detergent water and remove stubborn marks with a well whetted soap impregnated pad. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive scourers or steel wool.
‘What happens if something goes wrong Power cuts Should the electricity supply fail for any reason remember to reset the electronic clock to the right time when the power ig resumed. If the oven does not come on when cooking manually, first check that the programmer is set for manual {push button «C» depressed).
