Turning off the power After use, Please turn off the power switch. * Turn off the breaker before the packing machine is to be moved, the printer head is to be cleaned, or when the packing machine is not to be used for a long time. １. Press the power switch on the packaging machine. POWER CUTTER ２. Open the lower door. • Push [PUSH] on the acrylic door and open it while folding it. • Unhook to open the door on the conveyor side.
３. Turn the breaker [OFF]. • After turning off the breaker, close the lower door.
使いかた（応用） Pausing dispensing You can pause dispensing during dispensing. 1. Touch [PAUSE]. • The packing machine pauses. [Pausing] is displayed. • Touch [START] to restart dispensing.
Aborting dispensing You can abort dispensing during dispensing. * In case of DTA prescription, tablets may remain in the packing machine when dispensing is aborted. Be sure to collect these remaining tablets. 1. Touch [PAUSE]. • The packing machine pauses. [Pausing] is displayed. 2. Touch [CANCEL]. • The confirmation message is displayed. Touch [Yes]. • Dispensing is aborted. 3. Enter the number of collected pouches. • Set the number of pouches to collect tablets remaining in the DTA.
Emergency stop You must stop the machine in case of emergency such as when you may be get hurt by your hair getting caught in the conveyor or the packing machine is smoking or on fire when the packing machine is operating. You can stop the packing machine immediately. 1. Press the [Emergency Stop] switch. • The packing machine turns off to stop its operation. CUTTER • To cancel the emergency stop, turn the [Emergency Stop] switch clockwise.
Issuing using only packing machine You can dispense drugs using the touch panel without using the personal computer. You can turn on the packing machine by pressing the [Reserve Power] switch on the operation panel. * This function can be used in emergency such as when the personal computer is out of order. 1. Touch [START]. • The screen is switched to the screen that enables operation of the packing machine only. 2. Set the printing category. • Set the content to be printed on the paper.
• After entering the number of days [Days], touch [ENT]. • The number of days entered in [Days] is displayed. 4. Set the packing order. • You can display [Srel] and [Rept] alternatively by touching the frame. Continuation: [Morning – Morning – Morning] → [Noon – Noon – Noon] → [Early evening – Early evening – Early evening] Repeat: [Morning- Noon – Early evening]→ [Morning- Noon – Early evening]→ [Morning- Noon – Early evening] 5. Touch [Add].
7. Set the pattern. • Touch [Pattern] to open the numeric keypad screen. • - The DTA prescription is set if a pattern is entered without setting any drug. • After entering the number of tablets to be taken for one time, touch [ENT]. • The frames of [Pattern] indicate the timing when the drug must be taken. Maintenance mode You can set each setting for the packing machine in the [Maintenance Mode]. • [Move cleaning position], [Complete Cleaning] • [Collect DTA] • [User Setting] • [Register Group Cassette] • [Close Lock] • [Con firm Version] (The packing machine version is displayed by touching this.) 1. Touch [MAINT]. • The confirmation message is displayed. Touch [Yes]. 2. Touch the item to be set. • After setting, touch [FINISH] to return to the original screen.
■ [Move cleaning position], [Complete Cleaning] You can open the slide plate and the V valve by touching [Move cleaning position]. This is used to clean them. 1. Touch [Move cleaning position]. • The slide plate and the V-holder open. 2. Touch [Complete cleaning]. • The confirmation message is displayed. Touch [Yes]. • The slide plate and the V-holder close.
■ [DTA collect] Tables remaining in the DTA are collected after dispensing is aborted. 1. Touch [Collect DTA]. • The numeric keypad screen is displayed. • Set the number of pouches to collect the tablets remaining in the DTA. • After entering the number of pouches, touch [Collect]. CAUTION A small number of pouches may not be enough to collect all tablets. Set the number of pouches depending on the number of prescription pouches.
■ [User Setting] You can change the details of the packing machine. 1. Touch [User Setting]. • The screen is switched to the [User Setting] screen. 2. Touch the item to be set. • The numeric keypad and other items are displayed. Enter numeric values to be set. • For the setting items other than the items set by numeric values, their contents are switched by every touch.
Setting items Item Adjust Paper Core Description You can set the tension strength (resistance) of the packing paper. (The larger the value becomes, the stronger the tension becomes.) Setting range: 50 to 200 You can adjust the temperature setting of the heater roller. Adjust it depending on the environment where the packing machine is set. Target Temp. * When the set temperature is too low, the packing paper may not be sealed properly due to factors such as the influence from the service environment.
[Group Cassette Mode] You can set the method of delivering tablets from the cassette registered at [Register Group Cassette]. There are four types of delivery methods. [Cyclic] When all tablets have been dispensed, tablets are delivered from the cassette with a smallest number in order. (Example) [No. 24] ↓ (No tablets) [No. 25] ↓ (No tablets) [No. 26] ↓ (No tablets) An error is displayed. [Rotate] The cassette that delivers tablets is changed for each pouch. (Example) Morning→[No.24] Noon→[No.
■ [Register Group Cassette] This function enables refilling of one type of drug to multiple cassettes (up to 7 cassettes). You can save time for refilling if you register frequently used drugs and drugs with a large dose amount into the group cassette. 1. Touch [Register Group Cassette]. • The screen is switched to the screen for group cassette registration. 2. Set the group number. • When multiple group cassettes have been registered, set the number by touching [▲] and/or [▼]. 3.

■ [Close Lock] You can lock the upper door. 1. Touch [Close Lock]. • The upper door is locked.
Turning the cylinder manually You can turn the cylinder where the cassette is attached to manually. You can do this when cleaning the sash. 1. Touch [CAN FIND]. • The screen is switched to the [Call Cassette] screen. 2. Touch [MANUAL]. • The cylinder is unlocked. • Now, you can turn the cylinder manually. CAUTION Hold the cassette base when turning the cylinder. Turning the cylinder while holding the cassette may result in the cassette base damage.

When you need to purchase new paper, contact with your dealer or your nearest Yuyama’s sales office (provided in the separate sheet). * Be sure to use genuine YUYAMA packing paper. Store packing paper in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight or with high humidity. • [Paper Out Warning] is displayed on the touch panel and an alarm is issued.
• Unhook to open the door on the conveyor side. 2. Pull the packing base. • Pull the packing base while holding its handle. • Lock the packing base. • Press the [Heater Roller FW] switch to eject remaining packing paper. CAUTION Roller When packing paper has been removed by pressing the [Cutter] switch, paper for a pouch remains. Remove it.
• Open the packing unit while pulling its open/close lever. CAUTION Be careful not to hit other items when opening the packing unit. 3. Open the printer head open lever by 1 step. • The printer head open lever has 2 steps to open. • Make sure that the ribbon tension bar is set at the location shown in the figure.
4. Replace the packing paper. • Remove the empty paper core. • Remove the sticker from the new packing paper and then attach it. • Note that the ring metal of the packing paper is set to the back end of the paper core. • Keep inserting it until you hear a click sound. • Route the packing paper between the sensors. • Route the packing paper between the paper guide pin and the platen roller.
• Make sure that the paper is routed as it is in the left figure when viewed from the side of the packing unit. • Return the printer head open lever to the original position. • Return the packing unit to the original position. 5. Open the conveyor. • Push the lock of the conveyor in the arrow direction to open the conveyor.
CAUTION Be careful not to hit other items when opening the conveyor. 6. Set the packing paper on the heater roller . • Unhook the heater roller. • Open the cover of the heater roller. • Open the packing paper and wrap the paper guide with it. CAUTION Be careful not to touch the heater roller with your ngers as the surface of the heater roller is very hot.
• Make sure that the upper side of the paper matches the side seal face. • Close the heater roller cover. • Hook the heater roller. • Press the [Heater Roller FW] switch to feed the packing paper. • Check if the sealing of the packing paper is not displaced.
• Press [Cutter] to separate the feed packing paper. Roller 7. Return the conveyor to the original position. CAUTION Be careful not to hit other items when returning the conveyor. 8. Return the packing base to the original position. • Unlock the packing base. • Return the packing base while holding its handle. • Keep inserting it until you hear a beep sound.
9. Close the lower door. • Close the door on the conveyor side. • Close the acrylic door. • After closing it, push [PUSH] on the acrylic door. 10. Touch [RESUME]. • Dispensing resumes.
Ink ribbon Dispensing stops when the ink ribbon is out during dispensing. Replace it with a new ink ribbon. When you need to purchase a new ink ribbon, contact with your dealer or your nearest Yuyama’s sales office (provided in the separate sheet). • If the print is so light even after ink ribbon replacement, clean the printer head. • [Ink ribbon empty warning] is displayed on the touch panel and an alarm is issued. • Touch [Mute] to stop the alarm. 1. Open the lower door.
• Unhook to open the door on the conveyor side. 2. Pull the packing base. • Pull the packing base while holding its handle. • Lock the packing base. • Open the packing unit while pulling its open/close lever.
CAUTION Be careful not to hit other items when opening the packing unit. 3. Open the printer heed open lever by 2 steps. • The printer head open lever has 2 steps to open. 4. Remove the ink ribbon. Ribbon tension bar 5. Attach a new ink ribbon. • When attaching a new ink ribbon, make sure that its sealing is properly directed. • Route the ink ribbon between the ribbon guide and the ribbon tension bar.
• Make sure that the ink ribbon is routed as it is in the left figure when viewed from the side of the packing unit. • Check if the attached ink ribbon is fixed securely. Ink ribbon out sensor 6. Return the printer head open lever to the original position. 7. Return the packing unit to the original position. 8. Return the packing base to the original position. • Press the unlock switch of the packing base.
• Return the packing base while holding its handle. • Keep inserting it until you hear a beep sound. 9. Close the lower door. • Close the door on the conveyor side. • Close the acrylic door. • Push [PUSH] on the acrylic door after closed. 10. Touch [RESUME]. • Dispensing resumes.

Maintain the packing machine periodically to ensure that such powder is not mixed with other drugs. 1. Open the lower door. • Push [PUSH] of the acrylic door and then open it while folding it. • Unhook to open the door on the conveyor side. 2. Pull the DTA unit. • Pull the DTA unit while holding its handle.
3. Remove the DTA set plate. • Hold the both ends of the DTA set plate. • Lift it slightly and then remove it from the deep end. • Remove dirt from the surface by wiping it with a soft water-moistened cloth. • After removing dirt, remove moisture from the surface by wiping it with a dry soft cloth. • When you cannot remove dirt, wash it with water using a soft sponge. After washing it with water, let it dry naturally to remove moisture completely. 4. Remove the DTA cells.
5. Touch [Maintenance]. • The screen is switched to the [Maintenance] screen. 6. Touch [Move cleaning position]. • The slide plate opens. • The V-holder opens.
• Remove dirt from the surface by wiping it with a soft water-moistened cloth. • After removing dirt, remove moisture from the surface by wiping it with a dry soft cloth. • Remove dirt from the surface by wiping it with a soft water-moistened cloth. • After removing dirt, remove moisture from the surface by wiping it with a dry soft cloth. 7. • The V-holder closes. CAUTION Be careful not to pinch your fingers. 8. Attach the DTA cells and the DTA set plate. • Slide the DTA cells from the left side to the right side to set. CAUTION Before attaching the DTA cells, make sure that the slide plate is closed. • Make sure that the DTA cells are fit into the grooves. • Before attaching the DTA set plate, make sure that the front side is aligned.
9. Return the DTA unit to the original position. • Insert the DTA unit all the way while holding its handle. 10. Close the lower door. • Close the door on the conveyor side. • Closet the acrylic door. • After closing the acrylic door, push [PUSH] on the acrylic door.

Clean the last hopper. • Remove dirt from the surface by wiping it with a soft water-moistened cloth. • After removing dirt, remove moisture from the surface by wiping it with a dry soft cloth. • When you cannot remove dirt, wash it with water using a soft sponge. After washing it with water, let it dry naturally to remove moisture completely. 5. Attach the last hopper.
