Two-Stage Snow Blower ENGINE SAFETY This machine is equipped with an internal combustion engine. Do not use on or near any unimproved, forest covered, or brush covered land unless the exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable local, state, or federal laws. In the state of California, a spark arrester is required by law. Other states have similar laws. A spark arrester, if used, must be maintained in effective working order by the operator.
Check clutch and brake operation frequently. Adjust and service as required. All motion of drive wheels and auger/impeller must stop quickly when control levers are released. Let engine and machine adjust to outdoor temperature before starting to clear snow. 6WD\ DOHUW IRU KLGGHQ KD]DUGV RU WUDIĆF Do not overload machine capacity by attempting to clear snow at too fast of a rate. Do not throw snow any higher than necessary. Adjust auger housing height to clear gravel or crushed rock surfaces.

ASSEMBLY This snow blower was partially assembled at the factory. To assemble your machine follow the below instructions. HANDLEBARS SKID SHOES 1. Loosen the two bolts on the sides of the transmission housing. 1. Place the machine is on a level and solid surface. 2. Slide the lower handle slots in-between the transmission and the washer. Finger tighten the bolts to hold the handle in place. 2. 3. Align the holes in the lower handle with the upper holes on both sides of the transmission housing.

Slide the spiral end of the directional chute control lever into the chute bracket. 2. Attach the directional chute control lever to the handlebar through the upper hole on the left handle by sliding the bolt thru the hole. SPEED SHIFT LINKAGE HEADLIGHT WIRE CONNECTION 1. To connect the headlight harness cut the zip tie holding the wire off the engine, plug into the wire clip connected to the LED light, use zip ties inside the manual bag to secure it to the handlebar to avoid it being snagged during use. Cut excess strip off the zip ties when secure. (See Figure 7) Place the shift arm on shift yoke. Make sure the linkage plate points to the right. Line up the holes in the shift arm and shift yoke.

SPEED SHIFT LEVER The speed shift lever has 8 positions: 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse. To change speeds, move the speed shift lever to the desired position. The lever locks in a notch at each speed selection. Always release the drive clutch lever before changing speeds. Failure to do so will result in damage to the snow blower. For easier snow removal, we recommend slower speeds when removing heavier snow. Faster speeds are better for when removing lighter snow and transporting the snow blower.
Two-Stage Snow Blower » Operator’s Manual FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE Do not substitute. Use only original equipment shear pins as supplied with your snow blower. Always operate the snow blower with the fuel shut-off valve in the OPEN position. Close the valve when you do not use the machine. AUGER When engaged, the augers rotate and pull snow into the auger housing. CHOKE CONTROL The choke control is used to choke the carburetor and assist in starting the engine.
ADJUSTMENT SKID SHOES AUGER CLUTCH AND DRIVE CLUTCH Position the skid shoes based on surface conditions. For removal of snow in normal conditions, such as a paved driveway or sidewalk, place skid shoes in the higher position to give a 1/8” (3mm) clearance between the scraper blade and the ground. Use a middle or lower position when the area to be cleared is uneven. When auger clutch lever or drive clutch lever is released and in the disengaged position, the cable should have very little slack.

Tighten nuts after proper adjustment is achieved.. » Operator’s Manual CHUTE BRACKET If the spiral at the bottom of the directional chute control lever is not fully engaging with the chute assembly, the chute bracket must be adjusted.
OPERATION FREEWHEELING AND SELF-PROPELLING Use the axle lock pin to lock or unlock the right or left wheel. Lock both wheels to increase traction; unlock one wheel to allow for easier turning of the unit; unlock both wheels for freewheeling. To unlock wheel, slide it inward and insert the axle pin through the outer axle hole, but not through the wheel hub.

At this time the snow is usually dry and has not been exposed to the direct sun and warming temperatures. 1. Be sure fuel shutoff valve is in the OPEN position. 2. Unless there is evidence of leakage or service has been performed on the gearbox, no additional lubricant should be required. If lubricant is required, use GL-5 or GL-6, SAE85-95, EP gear oil lubricant. Do not use synthetic oil.
Two-Stage Snow Blower » Operator’s Manual SERVICE REPLACEMENT SHEAR PINS AUGER BELT REPLACEMENT A pair of replacement auger shear pins and clevis pins are included with your snow blower. Store them in a safe place until needed. Release the spring from the connecting hole in the braking bracket. Move the braking bracket away from the belt. Remove the belt from around the auger pulley, and slip the belt between the support bracket and the auger pulley. (See Figure 16d) b Figure 17a 4. Shut off engine, remove key, disconnect spark plug wire and allow unit to cool completely. » Operator’s Manual FRICTION WHEEL REPLACEMENT If the snow blower fails to drive with the drive clutch engaged, and performing the clutch control cable adjustment fails to correct the problem, the friction wheel may need to be replaced.
6. Remove the other bearing from the left side of the frame by removing the snap ring. If you only want to replace the rubber ring, proceed as follows: 1.
