Dynamics Parameters ■ COMP260 Dynamics Parameters The COMP processor attenuates signals above a specified THRESHOLD by a specified RATIO. The COMP processor can also be used as a limiter, which, with a RATIO of ∞:1, reduces the level to the threshold. This means that the limiter’s output level never actually exceeds the threshold. Input Channels feature two dynamics processors: Dynamics 1 and Dynamics 2. Output Channels feature one dynamics processor.
Dynamics Parameters ■ GATE ■ EXPANDER A gate attenuates signals below a set THRESHOLD level by a specified amount (RANGE). An expander attenuates signals below a specified THRESHOLD by a specified RATIO. Parameter Range Description Parameter –72.0 to 0.0 (dB) This determines the level at which the gate effect is applied. RANGE –∞, –72.0 to 0.0 (dB) ATTACK HOLD DECAY Description –60.0 to 0.0 (dB) This determines the level of input signal required to trigger the expander.
Plug-in Type List ■ DUCKING Plug-in Type List Ducking is commonly used for voice-over applications in which the background music level is reduced automatically when an announcer speaks. When the KEY IN source signal level exceeds the specified THRESHOLD, the output level is attenuated by a specified amount (RANGE).
Plug-in Type List Explanation Amount of Tap tempo DSP function resources Vintage Phaser Phaser that provides a high degree of sound-shaping flexibility, and is not intended as a reproduction of any specific model. 2 ✓ High Quality Pitch Monaural pitch shifter that produces a stable effect. 4 ✓ Dual Pitch 1-in/2-out high-quality pitch shifter.
Effects Parameters ■ SP2016 Reverb Effects Parameters The SP2016 Reverb is an authentic recreation of the original rack processor from the Eighties. Highly regarded for its signature reverbs, the SP2016 was used in countless hit records for nearly 40 years. The SP2016 Reverb plug-in includes vintage and modern versions of Room, Stereo Room and Hi-Density Plate.
