FEATURES Originally launched in 2015, Revstar was the first new electric guitar series from Yamaha in over a decade. A completely new lineup for 2022 offers three tiers, chambered bodies on every model, new racing-inspired finishes, new switching options, and left-handed models.
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES CHAMBERED BODIES Every new Revstar features a chambered body designed with Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process to sculpt tone and increase resonance while reducing weight and optimizing balance. CARBON REINFORCEMENT Revstar Standard and Professional models feature carbon-reinforced necks. Professional models also add carbon reinforcement to the body for weight relief, vibration transfer, and tone shaping. 5-WAY SWITCHING Standard and Professional models offer 5-way switching.
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES DRY SWITCH Revstar Element models feature our push/pull Dry Switch high-pass filter circuit that was first introduced with the original Revstar series. LEFT HANDED MODELS Left-handed versions, the first in the Revstar series, are available in the Element and Standard tiers in both Black and Swift Blue finishes. INITIAL RESPONSE ACCELERATION (I.R.A.) HANKO HANKO STAMP In Japan, a Hanko stamp is used in place of a signature. Each personal stamp design is registered with the municipal government office, and it becomes the recognized way of certifying and signing a document. The original Revstar Hanko mark (right) uses a traditional Japanese font to spell out “Revstar”, and is found on Element and Standard models. The mark found on new Revstar Professional models (left) means “Made in Japan”.
