1 Sicherheitshinweise Das Blitzsymbol im Dreieck weist den Benutzer auf gefährliche Spannungen an einigen freiliegenden Bauteilen im Inneren des Gerätes hin. Das Ausrufezeichen im Dreieck weist den Benutzer auf wichtige Bedienungs- und Wartungsanweisungen (Service) in diesem Handbuch hin, die unbedingt befolgt werden sollten. Das Gerät wurde getestet und entspricht lt. FCC Norm den Standards eines Klasse B Gerätes.
2 Sicherheitshinweise Benutzen Sie keine Flüssigreiniger oder Reinigungssprays. Das Gerät darf nur mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden. Schließen Sie keine Zusatzgeräte an, die nicht vom Hersteller empfohlen sind. Die Öffnungen des Gehäuses dienen der Lüftung, damit das Gerät nicht überhitzt. Diese müssen immer frei gehalten werden. Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Hitzequellen, wie z.B. Öfen, Heizungen positioniert werden.

4 Stromversorgung Stromversorgung Das Gerät wird mit einem eingebauten Lithium Akku betrieben. Ein Micro USB Ladekabel ist im Lieferumfang enthalten. Benutzen Sie ausschließlich das mitgelieferte Ladekabel zur Stromversorgung. Beachten Sie die Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Netzteils. Akku laden Die verbleibende Akkulaufzeit können Sie am Gerät überprüfen, indem Sie, während das Radio in Betrieb ist, einige Male [SLEEP/INFO] drücken bis die Akkulaufzeit als Balken im unteres Teil des Displays erscheint.
5 Bedienungsanleitung Aus/Einschalten Das Gerät besitzt auf der Oberseite einen Einschaltknopf. Drücken Sie den Einschaltknopf , um das Gerät ein- oder auszuschalten. Antenne Lösen Sie die am Gerät verbaute Teleskopantenne aus der Halterung und ziehen Sie die Antenne heraus. Für die Ersteinrichtung und der damit verbundenen Sendersuche, empfiehlt es sich das Radio an einem Fenster oder im Außenbereich zu positionieren.
6 Bedienungsanleitung Auf Werkseinstellung zurücksetzen Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und halten Sie den Einschaltknopf und die [SCAN/PRESET] Taste gleichzeitig solange gedrückt bis das Display erleuchtet und “RESET System” anzeigt, dann können Sie die beiden Knöpfe los lassen. Das Gerät startet neu und sucht sofort nach DAB Sendern. Einschlaftimer Das Gerät ist mit einem Einschlaftimer ausgestattet. Das Gerät kann bei aktivierter Funktion nach einer vorher definierten Zeit selbstständig ausschalten.
7 Bedienungsanleitung Informationen Um Informationen zu dem gewählten Radiosender anzuzeigen, drücken Sie kurz die [SLEEP/INFO] Taste. Senderabhängig können Sie im Display Informationen zu der Frequenz, Radio Text, Datum oder Uhrzeit abrufen, indem Sie erneut kurz die [SLEEP/INFO] Taste drücken. Displayanzeige im Radiobetrieb DAB+ Betriebsmodus FM Betriebsmodus DLS (Dynamic Label Segmenting): digitaler Begleittext, der von DAB/DAB+ Radiosendern ausgestrahlt werden kann, z.B.
8 Bedienungsanleitung Betriebsmodus Das Gerät verfügt über zwei Möglichkeiten Radioprogramme zu empfangen. Nach der Ersteinrichtung können Sie über die [MODE] Taste zwischen den Empfangsmöglichkeiten DAB und FM umschalten. FM Radio Weltweit wird UKW-Rundfunk im VHF-Band II zwischen 87,5 MHz und 108,0 MHz betrieben. In manchen Ländern werden nur Teilbereiche davon genutzt. Lediglich Japan und einige Länder des ehemaligen Ostblocks, sowie künftig auch Brasilien verwenden teilweise andere Frequenzbereiche.
9 FAQ FAQ Sollten Sie Probleme mit Ihrem DAB Radio haben, sind hier ein paar leichte Überprüfungen, die Sie vornehmen können, um das Problem möglicherweise zu beheben. Kein DAB Empfang Wenn „no DAB service” erscheint, führen Sie bitte ein „Factory Reset” durch, um das Gerät neu zu starten. Fahren Sie die Antenne vollständig aus und stellen Sie das Gerät nah zum Fenster, um Empfang zu bekommen.
10 Gewährleistungsbedingungen & Recyclinginformationen Sofern die Produkte im Zeitpunkt des Gefahrübergangs nicht die vereinbarte Beschaffenheit haben, ist die MAS Elektronik AG nach Ihrer Wahl zur Mangelbeseitigung oder Ersatzlieferung berechtigt. Im Falle der Mangelbeseitigung/Ersatzlieferung erwirbt die MAS Elektronik AG mit dem Ausbau/Austausch Eigentum an den ausgebauten / ausgetauschten Komponenten / Geräten.

2 Safety Instructions An outdoor antenna should not be installed near power lines or other circuits. When attaching such antennas, extreme care should be taken, as contact with such cables can be fatal. Do not overload electrical outlets, extension cords or other wiring, as this may result in fire or electric shock. No objects may be introduced into the openings of the appliance, as there is some current in the openings and the contact will cause a fire or an electric shock can cause.

4 Package Contents & Power Supply Package Contents The following components are included in the delivery of the XORO DAB120: Radio DAB120 Micro USB charging cable User manual If any of these parts are missing, please contact your dealer as soon as possible. Keep the original packaging in case the unit needs to be returned to the dealer. Power Supply The device is powered by a built-in lithium battery. A micro USB charging cable is included.
5 Operation Manual On/Off The device has a power button on the top. Press the power button to turn the unit on or off. Antenna Disconnect the telescopic antenna installed on the device from the holder and pull out the antenna. For the initial setup and the associated station search, it is recommended to position the radio at a window or outdoors. Later, you can position the radio in the living room and make the best possible reception with the antenna.
6 Operation Manual Reset to Factory Settings Switch off the device and press and hold the power button and the [SCAN / PRESET] button until the display illuminates and displays "RESET System", then you can release both buttons. The device restarts and immediately searches for DAB stations. Sleep Timer The device is equipped with a sleep timer. If the function is activated, the device can automatically switch off after a predefined time.

8 Operation Manual Operation Mode The device has two ways to receive radio programs. After initial setup, you can use the [MODE] key to switch between the reception options DAB and FM switch. FM Radio Worldwide VHF band II radio operates between 87.5 MHz and 108.0 MHz. In some countries only parts of it are used. Only Japan and some countries of the former Eastern Bloc, as well as Brazil in future, sometimes use other frequency bands.
9 FAQ FAQ If you're having trouble with your DAB radio, here are a few light checks you can make to fix the problem. No DAB reception If "no DAB service" appears, please perform a "Factory Reset" to restart the device. Fully extend the antenna and place the unit close to the window for reception The reception is weak Check that the antenna is fully extended to receive the strongest and best possible signal. Move the antenna in different directions to improve reception.
10 Warranty & Recycling Information In case the products delivered are not free from defects in material or workmanship, MAS Elektronik AG has the right to either repair or replace the defective product at its choice. MAS Elektronik AG manufactures and repairs goods using components which are new or equivalent to new in accordance with industry standards and practice. The warranty for wearing parts (e.g. rechargeable batteries) is limited to 6 months.
