Appendix A - Managing your handsets

Deleting your handset - To remove another handset from a base, select SELECT BASE, then select the handset you

wish to delete from the base station. You cannot delete the handset you are currently using.

Reset - Selecting RESET resets the base station’s settings to the factory default. To reset your base station’s settings,

select RESET, then enter your base station’s PIN number(0000 by default).

Change PIN - You can change the PIN number of your base station by selecting CHANGE PIN, entering the old PIN

number(0000bydefault),enteringthenewPINnumber,thenenteringthenewPINnumberagainforverication.

In the event you need to update the firmware yourself, download the firmware file from www.d-life.com/download/ and follow the steps below. Open your web browser and go to 10.1.1.1 . Type in admin as the password and click Log In.

Here, click on Browse... and select the firmware file you downloaded, then click on the Upload button. Appendix B - Upgrading the firmware manually Upgrading the firmware manually Method 2: Direct connection If your phone still cannot connect to D-Life service, you may need to set up the phone to use a static IP or PPPoE connection. This is required if your Internet connection does not support DHCP. This may be necessary if you do not use a router, and connect directly to the internet or through another port on an ADSL modem that requires you to log into your Internet service.

Step 2: Configure your PC’s IP Right-click on your Ethernet connection in the System Tray at the bottom-right of your screen, and select Open Network Connections. Be sure to disable your wireless network connection if you have one. Here, right-click on your network connection and click on Properties. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click on the Properties button.
