Insert the Micro SIM or UIM Card Insert or Remove the Battery Make sure the Micro SIM or UIM card's metal contacts are facing down and its cut-off corner is facing the left. Align the battery's exposed copper contacts with the battery compartment, and insert the battery by pressing down gently; Remove the battery by pulling outward gently from the notch at the base of the battery compartment. Warning: Redmi 2 Micro SIM or UIM card is positioned above the battery.
