When used on transmit, the tone squelch signal wit! modulate the transceiver at a typical deviation of 700 Hz and will open the squelch on another receiver equipped to recognize the tone frequency ban transmitted. The tone frequency transmitted Is selected by the TOME SELECT lines in the same manner as the receive tone. The CSS tone squelch may be preset to one of eight possible tone frequencies, on each of the 15 programmable channels.
