4 Description of actions 1. Normal Mode 1) When the button is pressed briefly: - Green LED flashes once and sends a BLE signal. 2) When the button is pressed for more than 2 seconds: - After red LED flashes once and the screen blinks, the screen switches to the second e-paper. After a set time (3 or 5 seconds), which can be set on the HelloBell website, the screen will flash and return to its first form.
5 3) When battery power is less than 2.5v: - Red LED flashes once every 10 seconds. 4) QR code scan: - Scan the QR code through your mobile phone. - Visit HelloButton page, which was pre-registered in the store.
6 - Click the button to execute programed calls, messages, etc. 5) When the button is pressed for more than 5 seconds: - The green LED will blink to enter the setting mode.
7 2. Setting mode. 1) Screen Setting mode: - The screen displays the MAC address, serial number, time received from the server, current SSID, firmware version, current battery, and serial number QR code. When you enter the setting mode for the first time, the WiFi setting mode is entered first. By pressing a button, the setting mode can be changed. - If no action is taken for 30 seconds, the screen will return to the normal mode.
8 2) WiFi Setting Mode - The Green LED will flash every 0.5 seconds while entering. - When the button is pressed for more than 2 seconds: (1) The green and red LEDs will flash alternately.
9 (2) Scan the Bluetooth signal while LED is blinking. (3) The mobile phone will send signals to the C400 WiFi setting App. (4) Upon successful WiFi connection, the SSID of the e-paper will be changed to the SSID set in the setting app, and the Green LED will turn on for 2 seconds and then return to the WiFi setting mode. (5) If the WiFi connection fails, the Red LED illuminates for 2 seconds and returns to WiFi setting mode. - Press the button once briefly to enter the setting value update mode.
10 3) Setting value update mode. - The red LED blinks every 0.5 seconds while entering. - When the button is pressed for more than 2 seconds: (1) The Green and Red LEDs blink alternately. (2) While the LED is blinking, try to connect to the server and get the settings registered.
11 (3) Upon the successful connection to the server, the WiFi App’s signal strength will be displayed next to the SSID on the e-paper. The Green LED will turn on for 2 seconds and then the screen will return to the setting value update mode. (4) If the server connection fails, red LED will turn on for 2 seconds and then the screen will return to the setting value update mode. If the C400 is not connected to WiFi, the server connection will fail.
12 4) Bluetooth connection mode. - The green and red LEDs will flash alternately while entering. - When the button is pressed for more than 2 seconds: (1) The green and red LEDs will blink quickly. (2) Try to make the Bluetooth connection while the LED is blinking. (3) If no action is taken for about 20 seconds, the screen will return to the normal mode.
13 (4) While sending a ## OTAC command through the Nrf Toolbox App the LED on the C400 will turn off, meaning that the firmware is ready to be updated. (5) When the firmware update is completed, the screen will return to the normal mode. - To enter the WiFi mode, press the button briefly once.
14 Installation/Replacement (Battery & Stand) Guide 1) Check the location of the screws at the bottom of the stand. 2) Remove the screws with the screwdriver.
15 3) Remove the stand. 4) Remove the screws of the battery compartment lid with a screwdriver.
16 5) Open the lid by placing your finger in it’s groove. After that, replace the two AAA batteries. 6) Align the cover with the groove.
17 7) Align the screws with the screw grooves and assemble them with a screwdriver. 8) Align the thin side of the stand toward the battery’s compartment lid. Then align the screw holes with the holes in the stand and assemble two long screws with a screwdriver.
18 9)After installing its battery and the Stand, A) Place provided double side pressure sensitive tape on the back of the stand. When ready to fix it on a table, peel off red protective layer. B) Ensure to fix the device more than 20cm from the human body for safety. When you found desirable spot for install, clean the spot with damp cloth and press firmly on a table to ensure adhesive on the tape to be fixed on the table surface.
