RMS TX-LI Transmitter User Manual
Overview
Thank you for selecting the Westhold RMS TX-LI transmitter. It is part of a sophisticated electronic timing and
scoring system, the RMS. The lightweight and compact TX-LI device operates on a non-removable, rechargeable,
Lithium-Ion battery. It is easy to install, operate and maintain.

1. The TX-LI battery should be charged up before use. Place the TX-LI transmitter in a RMS Multi-Unit Charger or
a RMS Single-Unit Charger. Both the green and red LED lights will come on to indicate that the unit has begun
charging. When the unit has finished charging the red LED will turn off and the green will remain on. Charge
time will vary depending on how full the unit’s battery is. Full charge from empty takes about 3 hours.
2. Take the unit out of the charger when charging has terminated. The green LED will flash rapidly every 3
seconds. The number of flashes indicates the number of days of charge left in the unit. The maximum is 7
flashes. When the amount of charge remaining is down to the last day, the green LED will no longer flash.
Instead, the red LED will flash once every 3 seconds to indicate that less than 1 day of charge is left and that the
unit should be recharged.
3. Place the TX-LI unit in a holder and mount the unit on the vehicle in an orientation such that the label is parallel
to the ground. This orientation will provide optimal performance. The unit must be mounted such that there is
NO
metal or carbon fiber between the unit and the receiver pick-up antenna in the ground. These materials will
block the signal from the TX-LI transmitter from being picked up by the receiver.
