Account Setup New account setup and sign in A Microsoft account is the email address and password that you use to sign in to services like Outlook.com, OneDrive, Windows Phone, and Xbox. If you use an email address and password to sign in to these Microsoft services, then you already have a Microsoft account. To switch from a local account to a Microsoft account: 1. Go to , click Settings > Account > Your Account > Connect to a Microsoft account. 2. Sign in to your Microsoft Account.
