NOTE Read this document carefully before beginning the installation. Follow the specifications listed on the ratings plate found on the enclosure (including the protection degree, gas groups and temperature class). Alterations or modifications to the enclosure or its contents may invalidate the certification. This enclosure should only be mounted, serviced and repaired by authorised personnel (in accordance with IEC / EN 60079-17 and IEC/EN60079-19, IEC / EN 60079-14).
Opening the enclosure WARNING! Only trained technicians should carry out maintenance and installation work. Make sure that there is no dirt or moisture on the enclosure or lid that could get into the interior of the enclosure. The proper tool must be used to unscrew the lid screws. A Torx T20 or the appropriate slotted screwdriver should be used. Do not unscrew the screws completely out of the lid. Do not remove the lid’s seal from the enclosure lid.
Installing the enclosure The enclosures are fitted with mounting holes that are located outside of the sealed area. These can be used for wall mounting. For the smaller enclosure up to Klippon® K32 we have 2 mounting holes, for the larger versions there are 4 mounting holes. Consult the following table for the spacing and exact geometry of the mounting holes. The dimensions (in mm) for the enclosure installation have been cast into the back side of the enclosure.

Mounting points in the enclosure Mounting points are available for mounting elements within the enclosure. Additional components can then be mounted to a DIN rail or a mounting plate that is mounted directly in the enclosure.

Drilling Information Cable Glands, Breather Drain For cable glands be sure to comply with the specified zones and limitations detailed in the Enclosure Certificate. During the drilling, make sure that the material does not overheat. Also ensure that no cracks or deformation of the enclosure results. All drilling burrs must be removed from the enclosure. The enclosure’s outer draft angles must be taken into consideration when attaching the cable feed-through bushings.

Inspection, Maintenance and Repairs (according to IEC/EN 60079-17 and IEC/EN 60079-19) WARNING! Disconnect power supply before installing or servicing these enclosures. Repair Ensure that only authorised and trained personnel perform repairs and maintenance work on equipment that is placed into a hazardous area. The training has included instruction on the various types of protection and installation practices, the relevant rules and regulations and on the general principles of area classification.
Maintenance Make sure you are in compliance with IEC / EN 60079-17 (especially the check list in Table 2) and any other relevant national regulations that pertain to the maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous atmospheres. Working with live voltages is not permitted without prior written approval from the facility operator. Typical maintenance tasks are listed below: • The gasket on increased safety enclosures should be checked for damage and replace the enclosure if necessary.

Öffnen des Gehäuses WARNUNG! Nur geschulte Techniker sollten die Wartungs- und Montagearbeiten ausführen. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Gehäuse oder Deckel frei von Verschmutzungen oder Feuchtigkeit sind, die in das Innere des Gehäuses gelangen könnten. Zum Lösen der Deckelschrauben muss das korrekte Werkzeug verwendet werden. Es sollte ein Torx-T20- oder ein geeigneter Schlitz-Schraubendreher verwendet werden. Lösen Sie die Schrauben nicht vollständig vom Deckel.
Montieren des Gehäuses Die Gehäuse verfügen über Montagebohrungen, die außerhalb des abgedichteten Bereichs liegen. Diese Bohrungen können für die Wandmontage verwendet werden. Für die kleineren Gehäuse bis Klippon® K32 sind 2 Montagebohrungen vorhanden; für die größeren Ausführungen gibt es 4 Montagebohrungen. Angaben zum Freiraum und zur genauen Geometrie der Montagebohrungen können Sie der folgenden Tabelle entnehmen.

Befestigungspunkte im Gehäuse Im Gehäuse befinden sich Befestigungspunkte zum Befestigen von Elementen. Zusätzliche Komponenten können dann an einer Tragschiene oder einer Befestigungsplatte befestigt werden, die direkt im Gehäuse montiert wird. Informationen zu den empfohlenen Schrauben finden Sie in der beigefügten Tabelle.

Informationen zum Bohren für Kabelverschraubungen, Druckausgleichelementen Bei Kabelverschraubungen müssen Sie die festgelegten Zonen und Einschränkungen einhalten, die im Gehäusezertifikat detailliert beschrieben sind. Achten Sie beim Bohren darauf, dass sich das Material nicht überhitzt. Stellen Sie außerdem sicher, dass keine Risse oder Verformungen im Gehäuse entstehen. Alle Bohrgrate müssen vom Gehäuse entfernt werden.

Ouverture du boîtier AVERTISSEMENT ! Seuls des techniciens formés sont autorisés à effectuer les travaux de maintenance et d’installation. Vérifiez que l’extérieur du boîtier et du couvercle sont exempts de saletés ou d’humidité susceptibles de pénétrer à l’intérieur du boîtier. Utilisez l’outil approprié pour dévisser les vis du couvercle. Il convient d’utiliser un tournevis Torx T20 ou le tournevis pour vis à tête fendue approprié. Ne dévissez pas complètement les vis du couvercle.
Installation du boîtier Les boîtiers sont pourvus de perçages de montage situés à l’extérieur de la zone d’étanchéité. Ils peuvent être utilisés pour le montage sur paroi. Les petits boîtiers jusqu’à Klippon® K32 disposent de 2 perçages de montage ; les versions plus grandes de 4 perçages de montage. Consultez le tableau suivant pour connaître l’espacement et la géométrie exacte des perçages de montage. Les dimensions (en mm) utiles pour l’installation du boîtier sont inscrites en relief au dos du boîtier.

Informations de perçage, presse-étoupes, vidange de reniflard Pour les presse-étoupes, veillez à bien respecter les zones spécifiées et les limitations détaillées sur la plaquette de marquage de certificat. Pendant le perçage, assurez-vous que le matériau ne surchauffe pas. Veillez également à ne pas provoquer de fissures ni de déformation du boîtier. Toutes les bavures de perçage sur le boîtier doivent être éliminées.

Réparation Assurez-vous que les réparations et les travaux de maintenance sur l’équipement situé dans une zone dangereuse sont uniquement effectués par du personnel autorisé et formé.
Maintenance Vérifiez que vous êtes en conformité avec la norme CEI / EN 60079-17 (spécialement la liste de contrôle du tableau 2 de la norme) et toutes les autres réglementations nationales pertinentes concernant la maintenance de l’équipement électrique dans les atmosphères dangereuses. The specifications listed here are based on a minimum gap of 4 mm between the cable glands, when using brass cable glands with corners. When using three or more rows of cable glands, the rows should be staggered to accommodate the maximum number of glands. So it is possible to fit more or less cable glands than the numbers specified in these tables.
Les indications portées ici s’appuient sur un espace minimum de 4 mm entre les presseétoupes, en utilisant des presse-étoupes en laiton avec cote sur angle. Si les rangées de presse-étoupes sont de trois ou plus, celles-ci doivent être disposées en décalage afin de pouvoir intégrer le nombre maximum. C’est pourquoi il est possible d’installer plus ou moins de presse-étoupes que l’indication portée dans les tableaux ci-dessus.
