PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
APPLICATION
Use adequate ventilation at all times. Apply only when the air and
surface temperatures are above 50°F (10°C) and below 95°F
(3C). Slower dry times may result from applications on
redwood, cedar or woods with high tannin and /or oil content or
with periods of high humidity and/or low temperatures. Use full
strength. Test Watco Exterior Wood Finish in an inconspicuous
area prior to use.
Thoroughly stir the contents before and during use. NOTE: To
ensure uniform color and/or appearance, complete the entire
project with the same stain color as shown on the label. Apply a
heavy application (flood) with a lint-free cotton or polyester cloth
or a high quality brush. Watco Exterior Wood Finish can also be
applied with a roller or spray. Allow to penetrate for 30 minutes.
Reapply the material and allow it to penetrate for an additional 15
minutes. Wipe surface thoroughly with a clean lint-free cloth to
remove excess oil from the surface. Allow the finish to dry for 8 to
10 hours before light use.
Allow Watco Exterior Wood Finish to dry for 72 hours before
applying a polyurethane topcoat finish.
MAINTENANCE
Penetrating oil finishes will require maintenance to ensure the
beauty and effectiveness of the finish. Periodically reapply Watco
Exterior Wood Finish to wood when the wood begins to appear
dry.
CLEAN UP
Clean application tools and equipment with mineral spirits or
paint thinner. Dispose of properly. For guidance on disposal of
unused product, contact your local or state government
