About the Intuos

Your Intuos™ pen tablet gives you many different ways to express yourself creatively. Please

see the printed Quick Start Guide that came with your pen tablet for instructions on set-up and

driver installation. To view additional options for using your pen tablet, see Getting Started.

Your Intuos may support both pen and touch, or pen-only. The model number of your Intuos is

on the back of your tablet. CTH Intuos models support touch capability. CTL Intuos models are

pen-only.

See Intuos features for illustrations of your tablet, and Using your pen tablet for information on

system requirements and set-up instructions. The product Help topics will help you make the

best use of your Intuos.

Your Intuos can only be used with type of the pen that came with your product, or with a Wacom

accessory pen or tool specified for use with Intuos.

Included with your Intuos

When you have unpacked your Intuos, make sure that you have received the following items and

accessories:

 Intuos tablet

 Pen

 Installation CD

 Quick Start Guide (booklet)

 USB cable

Note:

 The compartments for the wireless kit receiver, receiver storage, and battery for the

optional wireless kit are located under the back cover of the tablet. There are also spare

nibs and a nib removal tool under the back cover. See Intuos features.

Review the Important Product Information, which describes safety precautions, specifications,

warranties, and the license agreement for your device, on the Wacom Desktop Center.

Working by wireless

Your pen tablet is designed to let you go wireless by adding the Wacom wireless accessory kit.

To order the kit, or to view other accessories and product options, go to the Wacom Store.

Wireless accessory kit The Wacom wireless accessory kit includes the following components:  The Wacom wireless module plugs into your pen tablet.  The Wacom wireless receiver plugs into your computer. When not in use, it can be stored inside your pen tablet. See Wireless receiver storage.  The rechargeable lithium-ion battery installs inside the pen tablet. Note: The wireless module and receiver are factory paired.

   Try connecting the wireless receiver to a USB extension cable, and place it on your desktop or somewhere in sight of the pen tablet. Move the pen tablet closer to your computer. Switch off any other devices operating in the 2.4 GHz radio spectrum, such as mobile telephones, etc., or move their antennas further away from your computer. Warning: See the Important Product Information guide, accessible from the Wacom Desktop Center, for battery safety precautions.
