Getting Started Location To get the best operating conditions for the Range Extender, it is important to place it correctly. Here are a few tips for placing the Range Extender: • Place the Range Extender as high as possible, but at least 6 feet (2 meters) off the ground. • Make sure you have good reception from the Base Station. • Make sure the location is close to a corresponding electrical outlet.

Registration Enable Repeater Mode on the SIP DECT Base Station: Follow the instructions below to enable your VTech ErisTerminal SIP DECT Base Station to connect to the VSP605 Range Extender. 1. Open the Web User Interface (WebUI) for the SIP DECT Base Station. 2. Go to the System > Repeater Mode page. 3. Select the Enable Repeater Mode checkbox, and then click Save. NOTE: Changing this setting will reboot your SIP DECT Base Station.
Troubleshooting Problem The LED on the Range Extender won’t stop flashing. Calls will not hand over to the Range Extender. I used to be able to connect to the Base Station, but now I cannot. The audio quality is very poor or noisy when receiving a call. Calls lost or audio becomes poor when moving from the Base Station reception range to the Range Extender reception range. Solutions • Move the Range Extender closer to the Base Station. • Check for interference from electronic devices.
