Use baking soda, a dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher to smother fire or flame. Cooking Safety • ALWAYS place a pan on a surface element before turning it on.
Important – Please Read and Follow Heating Elements and Glass Ceramic Cooking Surfaces • NEVER touch the glass surface areas directly on or adjacent to the heating elements when the cooktop is in use. • Heating elements may be hot even though they are dark in color. Areas near elements may be hot enough to cause burns. • During and after use, DO NOT touch or let clothing or other flammable material contact surface of cooktop or areas near heating elements, until they have had sufficient time to cool.

Clean your glass top before the first time you use it. A thorough cleaning with a glass top cleaner is recommended.
Choosing the Correct Cookware Headline INCORRECT Cookware must be centered and fully contact the surface of the cooking element. Use flat-bottomed pans Pans should meet or exceed the recommended minimum size for the cooking element used. Make sure pans sit completely on the cooktop surface and not on the cooktop trim. Cookware should be properly balanced. Pans with heavy handles will tilt. For Induction cooktops, cookware needs to be completely magnetic on the bottom.
Surface Operation Headline NOTICE When touching the controls, you must touch and hold for a few seconds. Controls will not function properly if you just tap and release. Induction Cooktop Operation To turn the unit on, press the main power button on the far right side. Once the power is on, you can turn on the individual elements by pressing the power button associated with the element. Touch the power slide and move finger to increase or decrease power setting.
Surface Operation Headline CAUTION CAUTION Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids should not be placed on the cooktop surface since they can get hot. DO NOT heat empty cookware or let cookware boil dry. The cookware can absorb an excessive amount of heat very quickly, resulting in possible damge to the cookware and ceramic glass. WARNING CAUTION Unattended cooking with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire.
Cleaning & Maintenance Headline Any piece of equipment works better and lasts longer when maintained properly and kept clean. Cooking equipment is no exception. Your cooktop must be kept clean.
