This tester, and most other telephone equipment, could in normal operation generate a spark strong enough to ignite a fire or explosion. 7 Do not touch or otherwise come in contact with telephone conductors that could be exposed to lightning or accidental connection to power circuits without first isolating them from the telephone network.
