PRODUCT OVERVIEW The BT45 seamlessly integrates your vehicle’s OEM sound system with Bluetooth (HFP) devices for hands- free phone calls and media streaming. You can wirelessly connect your A2DP Bluetooth profile equipped smartphone or tablet to play stored music or stream the audio from your favorite media apps such as, iHeart Radio,Pandora, Spotify, and YouTube. The built in echo & noise cancellation feature will give you crystal clear sound quality during your hands free phone calls.

INSTALLATION Installation Instruction • We recommend that the BT45 be installed by a qualified professional since all installations will require the removal of some parts of the vehicle such as dashboard, backseat, etc. Eject all the CDs from the radio’s in-dash CD player/changer Following the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions, remove the radio from the dash and disconnect all the cables from the radio.

BLUETOOTH SETUP Bluetooth Device Pairing Instructions Turn the vehicle’s ignition ON and make sure the radio is turned ON Radio with a SAT (or XM) button or RADIO & CAT (or CH) buttons 1. Press the PRESET A•B•C button to select PRESET A 2. Press the SAT (XM) or the RADIO button until you reach the SAT radio source 3. Press & hold the PRESET 4 soft key until it beeps to set PRESET 4 as Bluetooth source 4.
Switching Audio Sources: from AM/FM, CD to Bluetooth Source Radio with a SAT (or XM) button or RADIO & CAT (or CH) buttons Radio with a CDC button or a CD/CHG button 1. Music Playback Control Next & Previous Track 1. From the radio: use any one of the following buttons or knob to perform track changes. SEEK/TRACK UP/DOWN buttons, TUNE UP/DOWN buttons or knob, or FF/REW buttons. 2. From the steering wheel(*): Push the ENTER switch UP or DOWN for more than 1.5 seconds Pause & Play 1. Pause the media streaming directly from your device (phone) 2. (Radios with text display capability will display [PAUSED]) 3.
PHONE CALLS Answer and End Calls When there is an incoming call: 1. You must manually switch to Bluetooth (SAT or CDC) audio source first. See p.13 on how to switch between audio sources. 2. Once you are in the Bluetooth source (SAT or CDC), you will hear the caller's number announced through the vehicle's sound system (you will hear "PRIVATE" if caller ID is not available). If the voice prompt features is disabled, then you will only hear the phone's ringtone. See p.
Make Calls 1. Make sure you are in the Bluetooth audio source (SAT) 2. Dial calls directly from your phone 3. OR use your phone to engage its voice dialing function such as Hey Siri, OK Google, and Cortana. Once engaged, your voice command will be picked up by the BT45's microphone(*). End Calls 1. From the radio: press any one of the following buttons. SEEK/TRACK DOWN, TUNE DOWN, REW, or turn the TUNE knob counterclockwise. 2. From the steering wheel: push the ENTER switch DOWN for more than 1.
ENABLE & DISABLE VOICE PROMPT 1. Turn your vehicle's ignition ON 2. Go to Bluetooth source (SAT or CDC) 3. Disable the Bluetooth function from your phone's setting 4. Wait 5 seconds: • To ENABLE: press any one of the following buttons. SEEK/ TRACK UP, TUNE UP, FF or turn the TUNE knob clockwise. • To DISABLE: press any one of the following buttons. SEEK/ TRACK DOWN, TUNE DOWN, REW, or turn the TUNE knob counterclockwise. 5. Enable your phone's Bluetooth function and reconnect to the BT45.
USB CHARGING PORT • USB charging cable is not included in this package • Maximum charging output: 2.1 amps at 5 volt TROUBLESHOOTING • I can not get the BT45-NIS to power up, the radio doesn’t seem to recognize that the BT45 is connected. .Make sure the BT-NIS10/20 cable’s ground wire is properly and securely grounded to a unpainted metal surface. • I’m unable to pair my smartphone/device. .If you have an Android device, make sure the “Only visible to paired devices” option is UNCHECKED.
