Explanation of the warning signs:!
DANGER: indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will lead to death or serious injury.!
WARNING: indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will lead to death or serious injury.!
CAUTION: indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will lead to injury or material damage..!
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!
•
Installation and assembly work and work on the electrical connection
may only be carried out by a qualified electrically skilled person.!
•
Never cover up the product. Do not impede the air circulation.!
•
Do not hang or attach anything on the product, especially not
decorations.!
•
Keep children away from the product.!
•
The lamp may only be operated if the protective glass is intact.!
•
Only operate the product if it is functioning properly.!
DANGER!
In the event of a fault you must NOT touch or continue operating the
product. Switch the product off immediately at the external light switch or by
disconnecting it from the mains with the fuse!!
•
There is a life-threatening danger due to electric shock, a risk of burns or
fire if the product is touched or continues to operate in the event of a
fault!!
There is a fault if!
•
visible damage occurs.!
•
the product is not working properly (e.g. flickering).!
•
it is smouldering, fuming or making a crackling noise.!
•
there is smell of burning.!
•
there are signs of overheating (e.g. discolouring, also on adjacent
surfaces).!
Do not operate the product again until a qualified electrically skilled person
has repaired and checked it!!
2. INTENDED USE!
This product is intended solely for lighting purposes and may:!
•
only be operated with a voltage of 100-240V ~50/60Hz.!
•
only be operated if permanently installed.!
•
not be subjected to high mechanical loads or severe soiling.!
•
not be operated after storage in a damp or dirty place until it has
undergone a status test.!
•
The product must not be changed or modified.!
3. OPERATION!
Replacing the light module: In normal use the LED light module has an
extremely long service life. Should damage or failures occur nevertheless
please contact your specialist dealer with regard to replacement.!
4. MAINTENANCE AND CARE!
The following environmental influences can have undesirable effects on the
surface of the product:!
Place of installation!
•
acid rain and soil!
•
high salt content!
•
road salt!
•
cleaning agents!
•
other chemical substances (e.g. pesticides)!
Take suitable measures to protect the product and to prevent any changes
in its surface.!
WARNING!
Disconnect the complete product from the mains and allow it to cool down
before undertaking any cleaning or care measures.!
•
There is a risk of electric shock during cleaning if the product has not
been disconnected and allowed to cool down.!
Cleaning: Clean the product regularly with a slightly damp, soft and lint-free
cloth only.!
5. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
•
Storage: The product must be stored in dry place where it is protected
from soiling and mechanical loads.!
•
Warranty: in the event of a warranty claim please contact your specialist
dealer.!
•
Disposal: this lamp is an electronic product and must be disposed off in
compliance with the respective waste disposal regulations for used
electric devices.!
6. INSTALLATION!
WARNING!
Disconnect the power supply or connection cable before starting work of
any kind!!
•
There is a danger of a fatal electric shock!!
•
Only ever use accessories that were delivered with the product or such
that have definitely been declared as approved accessories!!
•
Safe operation cannot be guaranteed otherwise. There is a potential risk
of fatal injury or of fire!!
•
Check whether there are any loose parts on the product. If this is the
case and the occurrence of such parts is not explicitly described, the
product must not be installed or put into operation.!
•
Only use the installation material supplied if it is suitable for the
installation surface. If this is not the case, use only such installation
material as is suitable for the installation surface.!
•
There is a danger of fatal injury or injury due to the product falling from
the surface if unsuitable installation material is used.!
Unpacking!
•
The scope of the delivery includes a block terminal and cable bushing.!
•
Take the product out of the packaging carefully and remove all transport
protection.!
•
Make sure you have taken out all parts of the product before disposing of
the packaging material.!
Place of installation!
•
The product is only suitable for wall or ceiling installation.!
•
Select the place of installation in such a way that the lamp presents no
danger (e.g. through tripping over it or knocking against it etc.).!
Installation steps!
•
Disconnect the connection cable for the light!
•
Mount the lamp itself at the place of installation using sufficient
installation material.!
•
Open the protective basket and remove the glass cover.!
•
Remove the LED module from the lamp; the two screws are captive
screws.!
•
Connect the light to the power supply with the block terminal supplied.!
•
Put the LED module back into the lamp and fix it in place with the 2
captive screws.!
•
Replace the glass cover and protective cage and fix them in place with
the locking screw.!
•
Reconnect the power supply and check that the lamp is functioning
properly.!
