Introduction Trimble EMPOWER is an ecosystem of rugged platform devices along with sensor and communication modules, together creating a host solution targeted at specific workflows. As an example a TSC7 combined with an EM120 radio module creates a controller solution able to connect and communicate with a Trimble Robotic total station. The Trimble Empower Data Bridge (EDB10) is a “sled” that takes the Empower concept further to allow an EMPOWER module to not only be used in EMPOWER hosts (e.

Connect the USB Charging cable to the AC adapter, and plug into power. 2. Plug in the EDB10 to the charging cable 3. Charge for six hours or until fully charged. Connecting EDB10 to an EMPOWER module 1. Before connecting an EDB10 to an Empower Module, please ensure the EDB10 is powered off.
The screws on the Empower module will align with the screw holes on the EDB10. 3. Tighten the two screws located using the (provided) Module screwdriver. To prevent damage to the EDB10, do not overtighten the screws. The Empower Module and the EDB10 should form a firm connection.
Description Founders has two buttons located on the side of the Founders unit. The green button controls power, and the black button or action button is designed to work in conjunction with the Empower Module when it is attached to the EDB10 unit.

LED 2 Sequencing Sequencing when EDB10 is powered on and charging Note, the connected state in the above table shows the EDB10 connected via Bluetooth. Other connection states will display different colors as below. LED’s will display in 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 second increments as below.
Bluetooth Pairing When the EDB10 is switched on the unit will be discoverable and will be ready to be paired. LED 2 “connection state” will be white indicating the unit is not connected and is ready to pair. The EDB10 is discoverable when not connected to a device. A pairing code is not required to pair with the EDB10. When pairing with the EDB10 with a data collector “device”, the EDB10 will have the name EDBXXXXXX, where XXXXXX are the last 6 digits of the EDB10 serial number.
Once the Trimble radio is connected, the EDB10 connection to the Data collector device is essentially transparent. An application can send and receive data using the radio link solution upon request. Data received from the remote radio connection will be transmitted to the data collector via the connection with the EDB10. Revision History Date Revision Author 08-05-20 1 Bruce Hook 4/14/21 1.
