Traxxas SA12323 RF Module Integration Instruction
Before installing the SA12323 module into your host, carefully read and follow all instructions in this and any
accompanying materials to prevent serious damage to this module.
The host manufacturer is required to comply with all applicable FCC equipment authorizations
regulations, requirements and equipment functions not associated with the SA12323 module portion.
The host manufacturer is required to add the following statement to the end user’s manual Changes or
modifications not expressly approved by Traxxas LP will void the user’s authority to operate the module.
The host manufacturer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the module installed and fully
operational.
The host device must display a FCC/IC ID compliance statement visible to the end user identifying the
SA12323 module is contained.
This module is not designed to be end/user accessible/replaceable and shall not be marketed with the
module being end-user plug and play replaceable.
The antenna for this module is fixed and it is not permitted to be changed or extended.
This module is battery powered only and requires a minimum of 3.3 volts for operation.

FCC & Industry Canada Compliance
The SA12323 module complies with the limits for a Class B digital device as described in part 15 of the FCC
rules, and Canadian ICES-003 and RSS-210. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This
device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
The limits for a Class B digital device are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in residential settings. This product generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy, and, if
not operated in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure Information
The radiated output power of this module is below the FCC & Industry Canada (IC) radio frequency exposure
limits. The module should be installed in such a manner such that the potential for human contact during
normal operation is minimized. The antenna for this module must not be co-located with any other
transmitters except in accordance with FCC and Industry Canada multi-transmitter procedures. Co-location
means having a separation distance of less than 20 cm between
transmitting antennas.
