GoAnywhere Pass™

The GoAnywhere Pass is designed for mounting to a vehicle’s interior windshield

surface using 3M™ Dual Lock™ strips, or with an optional bracket that attaches to the

windshield with suction cups. These mounting methods provide for easy mounting and

removal when portability is needed.

General Instructions and Guidelines

Proper Handling Prior to Installation

IMPORTANT: Prior to installation, GoAnywhere Pass should be stored in shielded bags and/or

packaging provided by TransCore. Failure to properly store tags will result in shortened battery life.

Metallized Windshield

If your vehicle has a metalized windshield, the windshield may have a metal-free zone located near the

rearview mirror. Center the tag in that area and follow these installation instructions. Contact your local

customer service center for more information.

Tinted Windshield

If your vehicle has a metallic tint across the top of the windshield, it may interfere with tag performance.

Install the tag at least 2 inches (5.1 cm) below the tinted area. Nonmetallic tint does not interfere with tag

performance.

Installation Instructions Metal Sun Visor: If your vehicle has an exterior-mounted metal sun visor, mount the tag at least 2 inches (5.1 cm) below the visor. Windshield Band Some windshields have a solid or dotted black frit band around the edges of the windshield (Figure 1). The GoAnywhere Pass may be placed behind this band if necessary without affecting tag performance. Figure 1 – Windshield frit band GoAnywhere Pass Activation 1. Choose the location for your tag. The tag should be mounted approximately 1 inch (2.54 cm) below the rearview mirror post (Figure 3). Installation Instructions 4. To remove a GoAnywhere Pass mounted with Dual Lock strips from the windshield, grip the case at the top and bottom sides. Gently lift the tag away from the windshield, starting on one end and working until the GoAnywhere Pass is free from the windshield. Installation with Optional Mounting Bracket 1. Clean and dry the interior windshield surface and the back of the suction cups. 2. Moisten the mounting surface of each suction cup.

GoAnywhere Pass 4. To remove the tag from the bracket, hold the bracket in both hands. Hold the two upper tabs with your fingers, and at the same time, push the tag up through the opening on the bottom part of the bracket. The tag should slide out of the bracket (Figure 7). Figure 7 – Remove tag from bracket 5. To remove the bracket from the windshield, locate the tab on each suction cup (Figure 8).

Installation Instructions NOTE: For proper operation, the GoAnywhere Pass requires lithium batteries. TransCore recommends Energizer® Advanced Lithium AAA batteries. 2. Hold the GoAnywhere Pass with the LED side facing down. Locate the battery door. Press the indentation located under the arrow and slide the door in the direction of the arrow to open the door. GoAnywhere Pass Audio/Visual Signals Your GoAnywhere Pass is equipped with audio/visual signals that will alert you about certain conditions relevant to your tag. Refer to Table 1 for a list of audio and visual signals for your tag.
