Sidewinder goes where others can’t. You’ve never seen a rotary mower like this before. The patented Sidewinder cutting system allows operators to slide the cutting units from side to side up to 24" (61 cm) for more control and the ability to cut hard-to-reach turf. This also allows you to change the tire tracking to reduce turf compaction, even if you consistently mow the same patterns. And Sidewinder decks can trim close to sensitive areas while keeping the tires a safe distance away.

But Toro has changed that with the remarkable performance of the Contour™ Plus cutting decks. Each free-floating deck follows ground contours for an even cut on undulating terrain. Built on a solid foundation. A 35 hp (26.1 kW) Kubota turbo-diesel engine leaves no doubt that the 3500-D is a serious machine built for productivity. Even tough, wet conditions are handled with ease, thanks to the Series/Parallel™ traction drive. This full-time 3-wheel drive system senses slippage and maintains power to at least two wheels at all times to prevent spinouts and scuffing. ® The patented Series/Parallel traction drive separates hydraulic power between the front and rear drive wheels.
