Subject: Belt Moves Too Slow
The sand conveyer belt of the Topdresser 1800 & 2500 turn at about 25% of the
Topdressers 1800/2300 produced before the listed serial numbers, this change was
made in response to customer requests to provide a product that will spread very light
sand applications. However, some customers may require sand distribution at higher
rates than the Topdresser 1800/2500 current designs are capable of delivering.
Three alternate Sprockets are available that will enable the belt to be run 1.4, 2, or 3
times faster than the current Topdresser 1800/2500 belt speed with the 40 tooth
Sprocket.
• Sprocket, 30 Tooth (1.4 times faster than current 2500 belt speed),
• Sprocket, 20 Tooth (2x faster), and,
• Sprocket, 15 Tooth (3x faster).
These sprockets are currently available through your Toro Commercial Distributor. The
Drive Chain (99-0164) will need to be shortened to accommodate the use of any of
these three smaller sprockets.
