Maintenance Recommended Maintenance Schedule(s) Maintenance Service Interval Every 100 hours Maintenance Procedure • Clean the spark arrester. Engine Maintenance Cleaning the Spark Arrester Service Interval: Every 100 hours/Every 6 months (whichever comes first) 1. Remove the muffler from the machine; refer to 1 Removing the Muffler Guards (page 1). 2. Remove the spark arrester (Figure 4). 3. Use a brush to carefully remove carbon deposits from the spark-arrester screen (Figure 5).
